DANA GLOVER GOLD MOURNING HAND HARD ENAMEL PIN
Hard enamel lapel pin, measuring 2" tall. Black enamel with high polished gold metal plaiting.
Hands were very popular motifs among mourning brooches during the 19th century and were often worn in memory of a family member or close friend. Flowers were also assigned many meanings during the Victorian era; normally the rose would symbolize love, but in the context of mourning, it would have meant sadness and farewell.
